Reviews
Hold onto your forks and knives, foodies, because I'm about to slice into the best takeout experience of my year! Let's talk about Cava, the only place that's managed to make me seriously consider setting up a tent on Boylston Street just to be closer to their kitchen.
First off, the staff. Oh, the staff! Imagine a dream team of culinary wizards mixed with the charm of your favorite sitcom characters. They're the kind of people who could probably juggle flaming pizzas while reciting Shakespeare, and still ask how your day was with genuine interest. I half-expected them to magically appear in my kitchen offering to help with the dishes!
Now, onto the environment. Stepping into Cava is like walking into a hug from your best friend if your best friend was a building. The ambiance is so welcoming, I'm pretty sure the walls whispered, "Welcome home, hungry traveler!" as I walked in. It's the kind of place where the decor isn't just 'on point' – it's conducting a symphony.
And the food – oh, the food! The culinary masterpiece that gracefully danced into my takeout bag was nothing short of a flavor ballet. Each bite was like discovering a new reason to be happy. I'm convinced the chef isn't just a cook, but a flavor wizard who casts delicious spells on unsuspecting ingredients.
In conclusion, if you haven't ordered from Cava yet, are you even living? This isn't just a restaurant; it's a life experience wrapped in a takeout bag. Go on, give them a try. Your taste buds will write thank you letters.
Best salad! I had their lemon chicken salad. So fresh, lemony, delicious. Big bowl for just $13. Spinach, roasted chicken, corn, yogurt, cucumber, tomatoes, pickled onions, lemony dressing, a side of pita bread.
$16 for a tiny wrap with 4 meatballs in it. Employees were burnt out, the counter was nasty. Many health violations as flies were landing on people’s food and an employee named Nicole just swatted them off, lol.
Cava never fails to impress me! Had the spicy falafel bowl at this branch.
Don’t order to-go or takeout. They’ll ignore your customizations or any specifications. They will just make you the standard order and will not provide you with the free pita bread, even when you select it. Nothing is packaged with care, they don’t provide napkins or utensils. Sauce is only available on the side (cannot customize dressing option). I also ordered and paid for a drink, but didn’t see it listed on their store packaging receipt. Maybe the receipt was missing a page 2? Chicken was good though, so I added a star! Was excited about for some fresh salad options in the area, and with 20 dollars a salad, you would take a bit more time and care assembling orders, but not this one. Maybe eating in will be a lot better.
The Greek salad I tried is pretty good. They have nice options for veggie lovers. Must try. They have extra table space in a lower level with less music and noise. It's a very busy place, I recommend placing the order via their app beforehand to save time.
Pretty good food, and not expensive. But the desk was sticky and not that clean. Every thing else was fine. Again here today, added another photo.
This might become your next favorite lunch place! Everything is delicious and super fresh! They open at 10:45 am and during lunch it's packed, but they have plenty of seats inside. They have loyalty program through their app. Also, definitely try their beverages, buy green harisa and lemon tahini sauces in a bottle and take it home, very tasty!
